08 800 clunking noise

I have recently purchaced a 08 sportsman 800 ho it has under 800miles on it
seems to have a clunking noise with a jerking feeling when just crawling in forward or reverse. Not sure what this could be weather it could be a cv joint or belt grabing the clunking noise seems to have a slight grinding noise but all seems to be ok if going more than 2 or 3 mph the noise does not change when turning sharply as would if were a cv joint. The mileage i beleive to be acurate as there is bearly a sratch on it the unit did have tracks on it previously.

It's a CV joint. Those tracks are murder on the joints. Kinda goes along with big tires and lifts. If these things were meant to run this stuff it would be built that way wouldn't it????

06 polaris sportsman 800 x2

this atv has been running great accept for the clunking noise comming from somewhere in the drive train. i dont know if its actually comming out of the transmission but all u joints are tight. When i give it a little throttle it clunks in both 2wd and 4wd also clunks on off level ground slowing down quickly or climbing anything. Lots of people say they all make this sound but it really doesnt sounds right!
