winch problems
We picked up our 2010 sportsman yesterday. Started plowing with it this morning and the winch quit working. The dealer said there are known problems with the solanoid and gave me a new one today. Changed it out and the winch still won't work. Dealer is now closed for the holiday and we are in the midst of a snowstorm. Any suggestions?

try shorting out the solenoid. if that doesn't work then you know it's not he solenoid. start checking all wires, especially grounds that involve the winch circuit.

winches are not not waterproof assemblies, you may have to take it apart for a good cleaning and lube job.
