2011 Polaris Sportsman XP 850

The 2011 Polaris Sportsman XP® 850 ATV is built for extreme off-road performance. Our most powerful big-bore model, it’s ideal for trail riding, hunting, and is the perfect utility ATV.

Key features are:
•850cc SOHC Twin-Cylinder EFI Engine
•Rolled Independent Rear Suspension
(IRS)
•1,500 lb. (680 kg) Towing Capacity

Features:

Legendary Smooth Rolled IRS
Years of innovation and relentless tuning have refined the ride to a level unmatched in the industry. Rolled Independent Rear Suspension (IRS) angles the shocks rearward for a smoother ride and less squat during acceleration.

Maximum Power And Functionality
With the power to tow 1,500 lbs. and carry a total of 360 lbs. on racks, plus the ability to accessorize in seconds with the Lock & Ride cargo system.

Ergonomics For Your Comfort
With the engine rotated 90 degrees, riders enjoy 33% wider floorboards and narrower vehicle width at the knees (3.25") and ankles. The narrower seat reduces leg fatigue and increases rider comfort.

Strong, Powerful Engine
850 Twin, SOHC, 4 valves per cylinder

Active Descent Control (ADC) And Engine Braking System (EBS)
Work together to monitor and control downhill braking to give you optimum control and smooth, even deceleration during descents.

Anti-Kickback Steering
Placing the steering axis near the neutral center of the tire and having the long Dual A-Arm Front Suspension dramatically reduces kickback and minimizes rider fatigue that comes with jolts to the handlebars from trail and ground obstacles.

On-Demand True All Wheel Drive (AWD)
Still the best automatic 4x4 system out there, the AWD engages all four tires when the rear wheels slip and you need more forward traction. Reverts back to 2WD when you don’t.

Just bought one! Have a 2009 850 as well - I don't feel a difference in the 2011, nor do I really see one other than they dropped the digital gauge for analog and are now housing some of the underside components - which is nice to keep the mud off them. I got the Camo edition and love it, however, I IMMEDIATELY upgraded the tires from stock.

I now own 2 850's and love them both - no mechanical issues, perfect fit and finish, plastic is super tight with no rattles, and the power is 2nd to none.

PS: my 2009 is green, NOT green plastic, but factory painted - nice.
