Hopefully this is an isolated incident but something else to watch out for on the 2010 850 Sportsman XP. Bought mine the end of May and the shift lever was hard to move at times. The dealer said that was normal, but something still didn't feel right. 2 weeks ago the entire shift lever stripped out and I was stuck in reverse. Luckily I was out of the woods and could back the trailer close. It appears the clutches were out of alignment and could not shift properly. The dealer could not even manually shift out of reverse with a pair of vice grips. Only reason this may not be isolated is when I went for an ATV saftey training course someone else had a 2 up 850 XP and was experiencing the same issue. I am not a Polaris basher, I love the ride from the XP, just a warning so you won't get stuck somewhere when the shifter strips out.
