I rode all the other brands before I rode the 850 xp and its the best riding and well thought of quad. I will probably have these problems also but I will deal with them. I don't think there is another quad out there now to compare to the 850 xp. I know. I know the can-am's power and speed. But I really don't think its well rounded like the 850 xp is. Just my 2 1/2 cents. I am not Polaris loyal. I owned alot of other quads and older Polaris quads also. But with this new design of the XP I think its the best one out there.
IMHO Polaris has the best riding atv in the business period with the XPs and even with the older 500/800 bodystyles.....However as an overall 4wheeler, it is not in the same league as Can Am atvs PERIOD. Especially in the engine and reliability department. I would not even compare the two.
Yeah Can Ams cost more. But its a gaurentee that you will have more money tied up in a Polaris for maintenance over a 2 to 4 year period than you will in a Can Am. Yeah Can Ams have some issues and some lemons, but nothing like Polaris.
I can honestly say though that I would still buy one (Polaris) over any Japanese atv out there.
I've been a loyal Polaris owner for 6 years and I would buy another one in a heartbeat, but dragging out the toolbox out all the time gets old sometimes.
CAN AM
