Huh so now my Visa has be used by criminals

So I had a problem with a site sponsor and complained here, now today I get a call from Ticketmaster that someone has fraudulently used my Visa to purchase NHL hockey tickets to the tune of $610.00. I had to cancel my Visa and order a new one. In all this will take several hours of my time to correct, not to mention the major inconvenience of not having my card I use for business purpose for at least 5 business days. I have used that card for many years and never had a problem until coincidentally, I complained here. Pretty damn suspicious if you ask me.

that sucks dude. but i wouldn't go assuming things without any proof... you know what they say...

sounds like you've been phished. I'd be pissed off at the bank I had the card though. A ticket agency calls you up instead of them? ouch.

So now your insinuating they stole your credit card number? Your complaint was the first negative post regarding one of the site sponsors I've seen. Next time before you blast them on the message boards you should contact them first.

Take it easy, credit card fraud happens too frequently these days. Just think of all the places your card has been used. Be glad that it was for only $610 and that the fraud was caught by Ticketmaster.

I use to do a lot of business travel a few years back and someone lifted my card number. Still have no idea who or where but they rented a car amongst other charges. Oh and they didn't return the car! My point is it could be much worse. Trust me!!!

That sucks man. I've had that happen too, I bought $450 worth of tennis balls one day. My bank called, asked if I made this purchase, of course said no, and that was it. Never charged. Is it a local bank card, or what?

Just would be careful about calling out Thor on this without evidence. Sure it's coincidental, but it is amazing the different way crooks get bank cards and numbers. It may have been stolen from a business you used the card at 8 months ago.

Just be very careful about calling people out without proof, it usually doesn't end well unless you know how they got the number and from who

you are going off again this is the second thread you have started bantering about the atv superstore and thor,I havent bought anything from them but i havent heard anything bad except you,He responded to your other thread with dignity and respect and gave you info and said he would resolve the problem. and now your blaming him for miss use of your credit card. with no evidence.
I think you need to quite blaming people for your own faults and bad luck. this is not a bitch forum one negative thread is enough on the subject.

I had my whole identity stolen, I owed Harry's Used Honda some 10K for a car, Dell some 5K, some fingerhut place (and I gave them the finger in court) about a thousand and had 6 credit cards to my name with a few thousand on each. Total was about $28,000 and it took years to clear up and had to sue fingersuckers to clear my name off the credit bureau despite obvious proof.

Discovered it when I went to buy a house and never got contacted by any of them.

This happened some 8 years ago, and I went hunting and found out it was one of my old acquiantances, he was never a good but who was a COP (therefore really not a good friend), so you can never tell. To boot, my wife works for the DA's Ofc and her speciality is the prosceution of fraud, identity theft, and white collar crime and at that time Albuquerque PD and DA's Ofc refused to prosecute despite my wifes proof.

To scare you more, now they have technology to get your credit card numbers while they are in your wallet, was on the news just recently and it apparently true. So you really can't tell who got your numbers unless someone is arrested.

Soon not only we all be walking around with tin foil on our heads so they can not read our thoughts, but a$$ too for our credit.

I know your pi$$ed and upset, I actually went hunting the guy with a gun in hand (not wise), good that I am a bad hunter; but until positive proof is obtained, I would have to suggest what the others have, as it is smearing a business. Relax, if it is not money out of pocket and it is reported, your credit and money will be maintained. It is not like when it happened to me, my credit score went to like 20, and I had to fight with the companies.

Be sure to contact the 3 credit bureaus, Experian, TransUnion, and Equifax and report it as a fraud alert, that way no one can open credit in your name without some checking and there is certian questions that must be answered before they recommend to extend credit. In fact everyone should do this, place a fraud alert on your accounts, it's free but it's a bit of a pain when you apply for credit; but it can save you, and recommended by the wife.

And if people are following my posts, if I knew about this site years earlier, my posts would have been high, I have some insight in Financial (very little as I would have a 2011 machine), Mechanical, Medical and some in just about every area due to my job and experience, but I will never post anything bogus or steer you wrong, nor you Hondaracer.

Ive bought a couple of things from Thor, and he has always answered any questions that i might have had. Ive never had any problems with any of the orders ive placed with his company and i would recommend him to anyone looking for ATV accessories. He is a supporting vender here and stands behind everything he sells, and a lot of us here will stand behind him. Its to bad that someone fraudulenty used your credit card, but it can happen to anyone at any time. So i wouldn`t blame someone for something you can`t prove.
