brad, I agree. I think they were really aiming at the "younger" mid-20's generation like myself, who has grown up with eminem being in the music spotlight. (I think his first big album came out when I was in middle school.)
I definently see your point, and I agree, it was an interesting choice of a spokesperson, but I can see why they chose him. He has talked a lot about detroit in his music, he is from detroit, and there is some correlation between the hard times that has fallen on america, hard times fallen on detroit, and the hard times eminem has rapped about in his own life.
The guy that did the voice over has an awesome voice for that. He did another great video too, sent chills up me. A little off track, but very cool:
