Hmmm.... sounds fishy but not too bad. I mean she really couldn't scam you by you just giving her your email/paypal address. I have heard of people stopping payment on paypal and it bringing a scam that way. The whole "shipper" thing sounds weird. I mean who has a shipper in their back pocket just ready to deploy for anything? Is it a company? Her husband? what? What is the item for sale here? A car?

I have sent money to folks on PayPal using their email address. Only the email address. Its not a scam. You send her/him the email address you use on paypal, they send you the money. Try reading up on PayPal you so know.

Just beware of the buyer! I listed a ski boat for sale for 24500. and I get this offer for the boat no questions asked. I set up the sale and next thing I know I get a check for 34500.00 I contacted the buyer to tell him that he sent the wrong amount and he told me to just cash the check and send him the difference. I copied all e-mails and photo copied the check and sent it to the internet fraud division. The check was drawn on Barclays bank of London. I called the bank and they said it was a good check but if something went wrong after I deposited it I would be liable for the check and would have to return the money. Long story short. I still have my boat and I havent heard from this buyer since. Good Luck!

Dang, ya could see that one coming for miles, right. Some people are as smart as rocks and would have cashed it.

Could only find one.

Scam about buying my car from autotrader.com - Page 10 - Fraudwatchers

"Almost sure to be a variation on the overpayment scam. They either fund the transfer with a stolen credit card or bank account, or just plain spoof a "payment email", then ask you to wire some of that money elsewhere, to a "shipping agent" or back to the buyer, who "accidentally" overpaid you. In this case, they would probably say you need to pay the "courier" for them, who is just the scammer or an accomplice."

If its too good to be true, it probably is.
