I am sure everyone has their favorite gear and I am curious as to what that might be.
First and foremost, my helmet.
I do not ride without a helmet.
I don't ride with others that do not wear a helmet.
Next up: Gloves. I keep several pair of gloves from mechanic gloves to winter ski gloves in my cargo box.
As for me, when its warm, I always wear a long sleeve shirt and jeans and my knee high MUCK brand boots, and gloves. Jeans tucked in.
Spare us the sheep/pig jokes please.
Given the nature of the design of my 2009 Sportsman 550 XP's foot boards, going through any puddle at speed results in splashing half way up my shins to my knees.
Cooler, wet or muddy it's my Fieldsheer rain suit from Bike Bandit.com. It was cost effective and it came in sizes large enough that I can wear a lot of layers under it. Though they do not carry the same two piece suit but they do have suits that will fit even the biggest "Haus" (4XL) out there. They have one suit for $40.00. Small price to pay for returning to camp warm and dry and mud free except for the face and hands.

I have been half submerged in water when I got bucked off my XP while climbing out of a mud pit. When I jumped up, I only had wet gloves and two small spots on my back that were wet. It's not a wet suit but I was impressed. Your results may vary.
Since I wear prescription glasses, I had a pair of goggles made in my prescription, with the polycarbonate lenses of course. They were very affordable at our local WallyWorld. I also carry a pair of Oakley goggles for those really dusty trails.
Speaking of dusty trails, I use a balaclava as a face mask. It does not keep all of it out but does pretty well. We have tried commercial dust masks but they fog up the protective eye-wear.
I have looked into a helmet with a fan and filtration system but they are cost prohibitive for me.
For winter rides, its my Carhartt bibs, coat, and arctic pack boots. I also have heavy ski gloves. If it's snowing heavy, I put on the rain suit too. I wear the balaclave under my helmet.
For night rides, I have a high visibility vest that road workers use. It is bright yellow and has 3M reflective stripes on it. It really lights up when headlights hit it. (Tractor supply)
