belt troubles 6x6 big boss with traks

anybody have a 6x6 800 big boss with the polaris trak kit ??
just purchased a 2009 new off the lot with traks and after 38 miles the belt was blowen in very small pieces.
Now this machine is new 2009--but was sitting on lot for a few years never driven could the belt get old from sitting ? -traks seem to take way to much power to turn-has intervert drivers and traks need to be tighter so not to slip.
Don't know just wanted to see if anybody out there has had any dealings with simular machine and traks.

I'd be taking it back to the dealer. Maybe they have something "not adjusted properly". I have a 2010 XP with tracks - yes, it requires more power but not so much that it takes the belt out. What is an "invert drive and track"? Just a sprocket that drives lugs on the track (from the inside of the track)? There should be a tension adjustment and I imagine it is important to have it right as far as being "too" tight as well as loose.
