Trail Boss wench fitting.

Is there anyway to install a wench to a 2010 330 Trail boss?
Our dealing says there is no Polaris or aftermarket wench that will fit on
a 330 because of the radiator. Does anyone out there know if there is a way to put a wench on this polaris either front or back?

If your handy and know someone with a welder (Or have your own) just make one!!

Using a KFI Suzuki EIGER mount, I made a mount for my wife's 2000 Trail Boss.

I didn't like the ones offered for the 2000. So I made my own!!!

This one bolts to the font of the frame extension and runs back on both sides to the main frame. Its stronger than the one I didn't like because the stock is heavier and mine ties into the main frame not just the radiator guard/support. I welded in a couple nuts so installation is easier too.

Thanks CWLONG

Are you having any over heating problems with the wench located in front of the radiator? How often do you use the wench on the Trail Boss? Does it get stuck easly? Thanks again for all the info, and picts.

Mine (Its actually my wife's) is a 2000 model and is air/oil cooled. No water radiator only a oil radiator and no I do not have any issues.

This is a 2000# Super-winch I bought form Cabelas last year for 59$!! It works perfectly. So far its pulled this machine out of two holes and pulled a couple deer up in the air for skinning... Its not fast, but it works well.

Here is a video clip of the first time we used the winch. (click on the picture) My buddie was using the machine and made it thru some pretty deep mud. (Over the tires) only to be hi centered on a frozen submerged log under the skid plate.

I added a good set of traction tires to the back. Wholly Boogers, stock size.

I had a set of these way back when they where new and they where awesome in the mud. I made it thru many muddy areas where my friends where left stuck!! That was before there was such a thing as 4WD quads or winches for them!!

It gets stuck, but is really good for a 2WD with these tires.

Great video; one more question regarding your wife's 2-wheel quad with questionable taction. Where we ride we have areas that require going slow over large rocks where traction is questionable? Is momentum needed to get through these areas in a 2 wheel drive or can you go slow and still get through areas like this? Our dealership of course is telling me that 4 wheel drive is very rarely used what do you say? Thanks for all your help on this.
