1 Week ATV Trip. SUPLIES LIST?
Hey every one...I am going on a week long ATV trip to Temagami Ontario. We have rented a cabin on the lake with basic amenities and a small fishing boat....I need some help in the supplies area so I dont over look something that you experienced guys know to bring....I have done allot of camping in the north but have never had an ATV with me...I'm guessing the farthest well be from camp in a day trip will be between 50 and 75 kms. If you have any questions about my trip to spark something you may think I need feel free to ask.
Any tools, tips, supplies or EXTRA parts for my ATV to make my life easier would be greatly appreciated..
Thanks for your input.

Well it would all depend on how far you are from a store to purchase things if you run out.
Things you may want to consider : Flashlights and extra batteries, matches, first aid kits, emergency contact numbers for the area you will be staying in, if there is no cell reception maybe a CB, if there are a few of you i would take walkie talkies, road flares (can be used to start a fire or signal help in an emergency), ropes/bungies/toe strap even if you have a wench, extra fuel taken on the trail (enough to get you back to camp if you run out), engine oil, extra spark plugs, rad coolant, engine oil (specific for machine you have), good saw or chainsaw, tools for working on machine, tire plugs, small air compressor, TOILET PAPER, change of clothes (may get cold or you may get wet/muddy) and snacks (trail mix, water or just something to eat to keep you from getting really hungry on the trail). I am sure that others will post the things that i have overlooked.

I highly recommend on of these whenever and wherever you go. If you see sky, you have a signal. Plus you can add family and friends to a list and send out a "I'm okay checking in" message with you time and GPS coordinates

Blue that is awesome...the price is a little high but if you need it then there is never to much to spend.

It is expensive! But the piece of mind could be worth it. One button press will alert medic authority with you exact GPS coordinates. You can also be tracked through it if you are unconscious. I house sitted for my co-worker and her husband who rode from Washington state to her sisters house in Nevada. All off-road. They had one, and I was told that if it had been 3 hours since their last "all okay" update, to call for help with their spot details to be tracked. They had a safe trip though.
It also has other messages to send like "all okay, stopped for the night" with GPS coordinates. And a "all okay, but am broken down, send help" message too incase your machine leaves you stranded.
It's fairly new, so it's expensive. Hopefully it will go down in price in the future.

Your post is lacking details. Does the cabin have a phone? How many ATVs? Is the cabin remote or with other cabins? How many people are going? How many bear attacks have there been in Temagami?

Ok so there are 6 people going 4 adults and 2 kids.there are 6 private cabins on the property and I know the main cabin(the owner's residence) has a phone..there are 3 Polaris 850/550/500 efi,1 Yamaha 660 grizzly, a small dirt bike and a small ATV....the big 4 have winches..The cabin comes fully furnished and ready to live in minus a t.v. (but that is a good thing)the closest stores are about 1-1/2 hrs away (North Bay)...and I dont know the bear attack statistics...I do know that its black bear up there and I dont here of too many attacks here in Ontario...Iv been camping most of my life all around Ontario and never had an issue with bear. That being said I will have a Remington 870(with buckshot) and a can of bear spray with me..
Thanks for the input so far guys. Please keep it coming
