I don't get it.. How do you ride?

Maybe cause im on a limited budget or my mindset but i see pics and vids of people who beat the snot out of there ATV's

I tend to treat mine different. I like to cruise it. enjoy whats around me. Don't get me wrong I do like to feel the throttle wide open as well.

How do you like to treat your ATV? how do you ride, Please no comments on how im a wimp or what not.

Its just my style of riding.

i ride whatevers on the trail, if it's deep mud up to the racks or rock climbing, or wide open down the trails, abusive? some may say so but i didn't get a 4 wheeler to ride down roads at a slow pace

I can see crossing what the land has to offer on your path, but I do see people who just take it out to go deep in the mud.

I dont put at 10mph but I do like to see whats around enjoy the ride, I am not afraid to ride over whats in my way if its in the road.

I would agree with that, I ride the trails and if its in my way I go threw it,over it or pull it out of the way....and after sitting on the 401 all day in traffic its nice to hit the throttle and go! with no stop signs or crazy immys trying to kill you....

I don't have a large budget, but I bought my atv to ride and have a good time. My wife is always complaining about the money I put into my atv. Last weekend cost me $400 with a bent tie rod and broken axle. I am in the military and don't make a lot of money, but my atv is pretty much my only hobbie and the only thing i spend money on. I like to cruise around, but I also hit just about every obstacle whether it be rocks, mud, or water. Some people would say I abuse my toy, but, I didn't buy it to let it sit in the garage.

I do love driving over rocks, pot holes, ruts in the road. I don't baby it like some do with there suv's and trucks, oh no its a drive way crawl over it, same for speed bumps,

This hobbie is like anything else.. If the individual see's the value in riding hard and spending the money to keep the machine looking good and running right, than all the power to ya'.. I like to push my machine as much as the next guy, but when I'm done I get almost as much pleasure out of detailing and maintaining it afterward as I do out of riding it.. If you don't enjoy the "taking care of it" part of owning a machine like this, than your atv and your fun factor are both gonna be short lived..

I ride like you do John. I don't like doing things that I know can tear my ride up. I don't like waiting for parts, bike in the shop, or spending cash that could have been avoided. My ride is all paid for and I plan on riding it for a long time.

^^ Well put golf12. I stated above that some would say I abuse my atv while riding, but my atv does not get put away wet. I like to ride hard, but I don't care how late it is, I make sure it is clean before I put it back in the garage.
