Just 300 miles in over 2 years!

Will we went out on the ATV for the first time in about 1 1/2 years and rolled the odo. to 300 miles! So of course I was happy at the parking lot (Gravel), and once the wifey was off I did a few donuts and put it on it's side! Laughed pushed up right side up and drove it up on the trailer! Nice to be back on it, and also nothing blew up from MY first full oil replacement this fall/winter!

If you spent less time saying welcome to EVERYONE you would have more time to ride. Just a thought.

Not to get off topic, but everyone is giving Bruce such a hard time about this welcome thing.

He is a mod on the site. His job is to make sure we all play nice. To do that he has to read over the threads. I bet he catches a lot of the spam that comes on here when people just make an account to advertise. It also probably helps the other mods that aren't as active as Bruce to know what threads have already been checked. It isn't like his goal is to run up his post count to gain a better reputation, if you read his threads he never implies he has a vast knowledge of ATVs or motors (read his oil change thread).

It is quirky, and sometimes a little annoying, I put up with it. I know it makes this site a better place. Shoot, I don't like mowing my grass or stopping for red lights either, but I do those for the greater good of society.

BTW Bruce, I don't think I ever got a welcome from you when I joined!

right on Bruce!

I think the differance between riders clocking miles...........is that some can ride from there back yard to the trail.......and those of us that live in city's have to make a weekend or day trip out of it...which gets expensive and very time consuming......I've had my bike for 4 1/2 months and put on almost 700 kilometer's....guys on this site do more then that in a weekend ride.....personally I do not have that much time to spend ATVing.........maybe when I retire or if I win the lottery...

I also do not have a large group of friends that ride( unlike Lost Cause) because That's awesome!.....its me and my 1 friend..so if hes busy, no ride...if I'm busy, no ride. and he has kids....so if there with us we CANNOT clock miles......stop and go 10,20,30 kilometers an hr tops..........we dont get vary far...and then there hungry, tired, sore or just plain sick of riding but there troopers that's for sure......... you have to try and enjoy what ever time you can get on the bike....

I Hear That!

I don't know anyone that rides near where I live. It's legal to ride on the roads here so I can get to the trails easily, which I do. Everyone I know that rides has to trailer their bike out to my place and then we go from here.
Still I don't think I have 700 km on my bike ( I could check but that would involve getting out of my chair) and I've had it for 8 months.
The only problem with riding alone is that you are alone. Better make the right decision or it could be a long walk home. Exhilarating? You Bet!
Bruce........ good on ya!! Thanks for doing what you are doing.

I ride alone almost all the time I figure out of the 12,000 plus miles I now have over 11,000 of that is me riding alone . If I only rode when I had someone to ride with I'd sell the machine tomorrow .
