trail Boss 2000...
Bought used...needs rear brake work
Noted that 2/3 of pads were unused because spacer was keeping them from closing, thus no brakes....Is this standard.....can you make a narrower spacer and use the remainder of the pad?

Just buy new pads and set them up properly.. I have same machine for my wife and like it allot!!

It seems like a waste to leave 2/3 of pad unused. In the specs manual it says that the minimum is .150" ....the closest that you can get with the spacer is .235" from a max of .275". but you are probably right, just punt and put new ones on...
