New PorVantage plow installed with Power Pivot!

I just installed a new ProVantage system with the Power Pivot system on my 850XP. Had to take advantage of the $50 rebate on the new plow!

The install was easy. Took about 2 1/2 hours including the wiring of the pivot system. Love how I can now turn the blade from the seat! These system are really top quality & ready for work. I also added the rubber flap & side markers. The Pivot also adds weight to the blade keeping it down more. I am now ready for the white stuff to fall. Any one have any questions on these units feel free to call me at the shop (815-321-3888) and ask for Thor!

Hey! Looking for a ATV or UTV Plow System?

With all the Warn kits we have sold I have never had a customer call with any issues. Can't say that about the Glaicer 2 or 3 kits! ;-)

Well.....
Like everyone else I'm looking for a plow to go with my new ride (12' 850 touring) (no I still haven't picked it up). So I've been doing search after search, looking at what others have, others likes and dislikes, I'm a bit surprised that I have not seen any "down pressure" product reviews. I have a couple rentals I own that have stone driveways, so a "dozer" type setup my not be a bad option. Not for any crazy pushing, but to level off the driveways would be a solid plus. Has anyone experimented with anything.
The provantage system looks like a tight set up, could you add a down pressure cylinder to that as well as the power pivot?
I've seen a few YouTube vids on down pressure units, Primarily "black line" & "mibar"
Now the black line video looked a little suspicious, pushing a load of dirt, not spinnng tires, looked like the mounts were not very heavy duty for that heavy of an application.
The mibar was a little more believable.
Again any imput from the vast knowledge base out there would be greatly appreciated.
I think we all have been late getting out to plow the driveway & have the enevitabe ice patches from the truck tires.
Is that power pivot that heavy, to aid in keeping the blade on the ground?
I know you just got her on there:-) I just always see your comments pop up on things that work and things that don't.

I can ship everything up but the blade to Canada.

No pictures of the wiring. Too many items already installed and would be confusing on the pictures. Easy install. Just connect the + & -from the actuator/sending unit to the battery, then plug in the green & black to the switch from the actuator and the red wire to the key on hot. (this only gives power to the unit when the key is on). Then plug the wire from the power pivot to the atv and thats it!

I am going to hide the plug from the atv in the front box. Just have to get my drill back from my father in-law to make the hole.

I have never had a need for a down pressure system nor have I ever looked into one. The blades have always kept down on their own weight. But I use my unit for snow plowing only. The power pivot will give you extra weight on the push/blade. That pp is heavy.
