I just use any ol car wax on my hand shovels. Just put it on and let it dry no need to buff off. Also works in my blower.

I usually have an old can, tube, bottle,of wax around the shop.I wax the blade on the plow and my snow shovels too. Powdery snow flies right off,and the sticky stuff doesn't hang on much at all.

I'll second that. I used it on my motocross bikes to cut down on the extra weight of the mud...worked great!
