winch problem
hey guys, i got a 3500 Polaris winch and today i went to use it and found that the out doesn't work only the in. any ideas on what would cause this? ive checked connections at the battery the winch and switch. i believe there are other connections somewhere ?

did it not work right from the begining.?
mine stops working most times wont come in i figured it just get hot let it sit for a bit then works again. Pain in the butt while plowing snow.!!!

the winch has never given me an issue, last time i was out i used it a couple times, then this time there was just nothing...

might be the button getting dirty inside and not working... happened to me alot of times, just clean it out often or change it to a more waterproof/dustproof one.

i opened it up and it's perfectly clean but i'll see if i can get it to work

weird.. because the only few times mine was acting up , i opened the button and it was dusty/dirty inside.....
it happened to me some time in the summer and winter, it fixed itself after some time (it happened when it was new really)
or the button fixe did work for me.
hope yours will work/you find out whats wrong...

yea, maby the contacts in it are dirty but the plastic is very clean. how do i clean it?

open it up, spray compressed air or clean with alcohol... and qtips..
dont recall how much disassembling had to be done because i made my son do it while i was changeing the tires..
just be sure to reassemble it the correct way...

It's the contactor I bet. Try reversing the wires at the winch and see if the out works and the in does not.
