Christmas time is here!

You know its Christmas time when you slup threw the woods looking for the perfect tree to bring home and put in your living room..

Oh how there is nothing like the smell of a real Christmas tree in the house

I thought it would be interesting to see on this forum of outdoors man the age old debate of real vs fake..

so I made it a poll.

When I was growing up we had real trees...sometimes we did the tree farm where you cut your own and sometimes we cut it from the woods next to us. I always said I woud never get a fake tree...

Then when I got older and realized all the hassle of a real tree; making sure it won't tip in the base, watering it, hoping it doesn't die before Christmas and pine needles all over...I bought a fake one.

It was a right of passage in our house as kids going to the tree farm and cutting down our very own tree and then watching my Ol'man loose hair trying to get the tree to stand up straight.

Always was good for some laughs!

I vowed then I would keep the tradition but do it the proper way...well I'm 30 now and had my own real tree for 10 years.NOT ONCE have I struggled like my dad did back in the day..Bought a really good stand with a water system for it and Fraser fir doesn't really loose its needles till after Christmas.
