what do you call your "quad" in your parts

it seems to be a regional thing, ive heard bike, quad, quad runner, fourwheeler, wheeler, and maybe one or two others.

around hear wisconsin, Il, UP normally quad or fourweeler. once in a great while i'll hear a guy call it a bike which is really odd to me. bike is short for bicycle not quadcycle LOL idk just funny to me like a pop or a soda

same thing with "snowmobiles" seems like the midwest calles them snowmobiles or sled for short out west they seem to be snowmachines. i remember when i was 16 out in montana i was talking with the owner of this campground we were staying at, and he pulls out a newspaper and says "look at these guys riding there snow machines on water". i had to ask him WTH he was talking about because here in wi a snowmachine makes snow so you can go down the ski hill LOL.

4wheeler is what I call em. Specifically, my 2010 550 eps is called Lolita. My wife got jealous that I was spending so much time with her and had to name her.

Mostly quad or ATV. Here in Alberta, they are classified as a motorcycle on the vehicle registration. I don't know why that is. But to be fair, we do a lot of things in Canada that no one knows the exact reason for.....LOL!

I hear 'quad',4-wheeler, 'wheeler', sometimes 'bike',which is confusing as I ride a Harley also. Snowmobiling is usually called 'sledding'. Some call it 'SnowCatting'.
I know one guy who calls it 'Cattin' and he rides a Ski-Doo!

I have noticed most of those who have come from the motorcycle scene to ATV's call them "bikes".

Up in NY, we call them quads or ATV's. Calling them bikes is just weird...

That would be me, lol. Most of us that have both, typically call everything a "bike" . It sometimes gets confusing, so I've been trying to re-train myself to call the ATV an "ATV". Most of the strictly 4-wheeler crowd will call the utility quads "ATVs", and the sport quads, "Quads".
