Maybe we can start a thread on religion and then everyone can be alienated!

Feel free to if you want Dmax but this poll was mine. If you don't want to participate then don't, but making hateful comments is disrepectful and uncalled for.

Anyway, Thanks to those who participated. I thought that ATVing might be a good cross section of America across demographics, geographical areas, sex, age etc. The results are fascinating given that the Dems are supposed to be garnering approximately 57% of the vote. That assuming you listen to any of the national polling data. I don't know where they get such numbers as the people I talk to are not happy with the Dems performance this past 3 years and want them gone. 91.4% voting for the Republican side here is a large discrepancy from the national polls I wonder why that might be?

First off - not a liberal. Second - it was definately meant as a joke. Third - I see you changed your disparaging remark about liberals before you reposted and accused me of a hateful and disrespectful remark. A little hypocritical don't you think? Your way off base here. I see everyone is intitiled to a opinion as long as it's what you think it should be. Relax - it's all good. Like the great George S. Patton said... well you know.

Anyone have anything constructive to add to the poll results?

Just wanted to say most of the politicians we see now a days answer to one thing MONEY, he who pays gets the vote. I wish we had leaders that had morals, but I guess when most of America doesn't have any morals it doesn't help. Now days you can be free to be any religion except christian as we are the "bad people". I think the founding fathers would be rolling in their graves if they knew how the country was going to turn out. Don't get me wrong this is a great nation, and I wouldn't live anywhere else but we are headed down the wrong path. Like I said, MORALS!!!

Up here in canada watching whats happened to your country in just a few short years has been gut wrenching.. 10 trillion in debt when obama took office and now nearly 16 trillion in debt.. That man has spent more money in 3years than all of of your presidents combined.. And what did you get for it?.. 200,000 more public servants, more layers of government making it harder and harder for businesses to turn a profit and out of control unemployment.. The apathy of the rank in file population is astonishing.. The left wing media doesn't help much either.. They're pretty commited to pumping the tires of the left and keeping everyone in the dark to whats really going on.. That unemployement number report last week is a joke.. Not taking into account those who have run out of unemployment benefits and not counting those who have simply stopped looking for work is criminal.. Canada was founded in socialism so there's not much hope for us.. We do have a few leaders though who have done the right things to keep the mess somewhat under control.. Our debt is shrinking rather than rising but the taxes are out of control to fund all of our social programs.. You have got to get a true conservative back into your white house..

All I have to say is wow!
Its amazing how people in another country can see whats going on when half of America can't, or won't, or just doesn't have a clue.

As a child of the 50's and 60's, this will be my 11th Presidential election. My personal political ideology has shifted dramatically between the election of 1972 and this one in November. It frustrates me to no end to read comments left at the bottom of news stories, because I can relate my own youthful ignorance and confusion over a warped idea of how things are vs how they should be. I've matured over the years and found my own political center. Rather it found me. I believe the roots of it was always there inside me, it just took awhile to discover it. It begins with our concept of right and wrong. I let the politics of the 1960's hippy revolution lead me off course and left me confused for awhile, but I'm much better now.

These days, I've discovered I'm comfortable with my conservativism and adamently refuse to apologize for it. The reason is because it's 'right' for me. Please don't insult me, don't call me a hack, ignorant, curse at me and insult my intelligence. Don't attempt to label me and please don't accuse me of being a Puritan, because I'm not that religious. I am an American. I don't believe the Constitution is a "living breathing document" as some on the left suggest. Thats why our founders made it so difficult to change it. I don't believe its alright for two people of the same sex to engage in a government sanctioned 'marriage.' I don't believe that its alright to kill an unborn child because its not convenient for the people who spawned it to accept it into the world. I believe drug dealers are bad and anything motorized is good. I don't believe in the government trying to limit our access into our parks. I believe in being able to keep and bear arms and that murder is a crime punishable by a swift and painful death. I believe that this right to free speech I am engaging in now is imperative to our future as a free country. I disagree with the motor city bailouts and disagree with giving Goldman Sachs $1T of our dollars to bailout Europe for their indiscretions. Let em go bankrupt and let the cards fall where they may. I believe that progressive taxation is bad and allowing the Mexicans and Chinese to steal away our manufacturing base and wealth is unconscionable. I believe that you are entitled to disagree with me and I would fight to keep it that way - even if I disagree with you. I believe in divine providence, American exceptionalism, Freedom and Liberty - and will fight against any attempt to limit it in anyway.

My hope for America in 2012 is that our experimentation with socialism has run its course. I hope that the majority of the electorate recognize it for what it is and that we can overturn this tide before its too late. Another 4 years of this president and a left bent Congress will be the nail in Freedoms coffin.
