Camera
I am thinking about buying a camera to use while riding. I already carry a canon for pictures while stopped. Just wondering if anyone has a GO PRO or the new Nikon water, shock, and freeze proof cameras.

I know many people that use gopro from what I've seen they are indestructible. We used them onthe lake last year when my friend set the fastest wheelie on ice record in 15-20*f, and I've also seen numerous stunt videos where they tumble down the track are picked up bly the rider and are still recording

I have a Go Pro HD2 and it is AWESOME!! I have posted videos in the media section if you want to check it out. Tons of options, easy to use, lots of ways to mount and very durable. I use a handlebar mount on the front rack for ATV's and helmet mount for dirt biking. It will record and play back up to 1080P.

I picked up a GoPro Helmet HERO that I've been using on my ATV. I also got the Handlebar and Roll Bar mounts, which I've been mounting all over the place (front rack, front bumper, handlebar, rear rack on the X2, etc.)
I didn't get the HERO2, just the regular HERO, as 720p @ 170 degrees (or 1080p @ 127 degrees) is fine for me, no need for 1080p @ 170 degrees.
It's totally indestructible, video quality is amazing, and the mounting options are amazing. I've spent hours fooling around with different mounting options on my Sportsman X2. Lots of fun!

When my buddy did the fastest wheelie on ice we had 5 cameras mounted on his bike, that's one thing that's cool about them the mounting places you can stick them.

I had the original GO Pro in 2009, then I got the Go Pro Hero HD in 2010. Going to get the Hero 2 next week, to get even better low light performance. I never had an issue with any of them other than forgetting to bring my freaking memory card. I did have to replace the casing on my HD1 as it got scratched beyond repair after hitting a thicket pretty hard. But it got the case off ebay for 20 bucks.
As soon as I get the Hero HD 2 I will be selling my Hero HD 1. I don't need 2 cameras.
Also, they last a good long time on the trails. About 4 hours of recording on a full charge, if not more.
