Starter trouble??

I've just started having trouble with my 2005 Sportsman 500 when I turn the key to start it. It does nothing on the first turn & sometimes nothing on the second turn but always works fine by the 3rd turn. It does this about half of the time I go to start it no matter if the engine is cold or hot. The battery is 100% charged & cables are tight & in good shape & starter connections are fine. I can't decide if it is the ignition switch or the starter. It's difficult to diagnose cause it doesn't fail all the time. The machine only has 62 hours & less then 600 miles. Does anybody have any ideas as to what my problem is?

More than likely the start button has some corrosion on it. Spray it with contact cleaner. That may help. Using a test light clip it to the hot post on the starter and ground the tip to the frame. Push the start button if it lights up you will know the starter is the problem, if not your problem is the switch or maybe the solenoid. If that solenoid is bad you can put one on there off a lawnmower or a ford product it will work fine. Thanks
