What Kind Of Saftey Or Emergency Gear Do You Carry When Riding ?.
I was just wondering what everyone carries with them when there out riding ?. The items i carry in my lock and ride box are, first aid kit, emergency blanket, four bottles of water, 20' tow strap, tree saw, folding shovel, flash light, gloves, rags. Things i still need to get are, flat repair kit, small 12 volt compressor, and rain gear.
So lets hear what you carry with you when your out riding.

I carry first aid, fire aerosol extinguisher, small compressor, tire gauge, machete, folding saw, tire repair/plug kit, tree saver, 20' strap, shackles, basic tools, small roll of duct tape, small spool of bailing wire, small bundle of zip ties, 2 ATV tire spoons, extra gloves, couple HD large garbage bags, couple gallon sized HD zip-lock bags, couple rags, flash lite, extra batteries, extra glasses/goggles, extra drain plug, four gallons of extra fuel and spark plugs. Most all items fit into (Not compressor) fits in two small bags 8" in diameter and 12" long. Rain gear, sweat shirt, socks, TOILET paper fit into a slightly larger bag. One for tools and repairs and one for recovery safety. All are clearly labeled. Cloths and safety bags are in the Lock N Ride box on the back and tools and repairs go in the front box.
On the trailer in the box is a couple more straps & tree savers, more shackles, shovel, big first aide kit, big tire repair kit, big tool kit, four quarts of oil, a gallon of anti freeze. Basically same stuff, just more extensive tools and extra parts.
It may seem like allot, but its not heavy and not too cumbersome. It also doesn't all always go with me. But its all always in the trailer box.
I have been a Jeeper for many many years, so being self sufficient kinda goes with the territory.

I'll go riding with you - won't have to bring much. I use a gps and carry a compass as well. Are you equipped with a winch?

I just wear my gear, and ride in a group. Sometimes i carry my cell, for the most part if something happens we can send a runner or just dial for help. My wife broke her arm about 5 miles out in the desert a month ago, if it had been compound, we would have called.

One thing i would add to that list...just because the people i ride with like to play games is my spare key to my sportsman. We have been known to pull up next to someone and say, "hey is that a deer" (to the opposite side we pulled up on) and then take off leaving them without a key. Most of the time it just happens in the field at the house, but sometimes...it just happens. That way i dont get stranded on a trail. Although its never for very long, cause eventually someone will need to be pulled out of something and the longer that i sit, the less likely i am to help...lol

Attach your key to the handle bar with a lanyard and nobody will ever pull that trick on you again.
