Auto parts guys--In need of a microfiche

Hey, for any of you guys that work at an auto parts store, I need a microfiche. If you can and are willing to past that fiche here either as a screenshot or image, I would appreciate it. If you need help doing that let me know.

My problem is, I have a 1987 Chevy 1500 Silverado 4x4 that has the dual tanks on each side of the frame. My driver side tank has started leaking fuel (noticed this morning) and there is a "rock guard" to protect the tank, so I cant see whats leaking.

Hopeing a microfiche will shead some light on whats going on under there before I pull it apart. My hope is it is a rubber hose...and an easy fix.

Any help appreciated...thanks!

I don't have microfiche. But on those trucks mud, rocks, water = rust. The bottom of the tank may have rusted thru. Before you take the straps down on the tank remove lines/ wires going to tank and soak the bolts with pb blaster. Some people remove the bed of the truck. If you do that remove the ground strap from the bed to frame and unplug wiring to tail lights. If its a small leak you can try JB Weld or SEAL-ALL. It may be as simple as a hose leaking. If you need a filler neck hose and it's straight you can buy it at a parts store. If a curved hose try LMC TRUCK. You can also buy fuel tanks at a parts store. If you need more info or help answering questions I will be glad to help if I can. Thanks

Thanks tt, i was hopeing you would chime in. Ive got the haynes manual but it isnt helpful. We are getting snow right now, so we will see when i get the chance to dig in. Until then, im just going to run that tank dry, then switch over to my right side tank and not fuel up on that side until i figure out the leak. Will let you know how that goes.
