Rear brake not working
Went riding sunday and suddenly I have no rear brakes. Checked the fluid and it was full. Tried bleeding line from hand brake and foot brake, fluid came out but not pressurized like it should be. When I push on the foot brake it goes all the way to the floorboard with no resistance. Hand brake feels normal but front brake works fine but even the hand brake can't make the rear brake work. not sure what to do next. Someone told me to adjust the pads on the rear but they are seated ride on the disc. Any help???

Same problem
I have the same problem with my 06 700 sportsman. My rear brake is working with the hand brake though. I'm thinking there may be a linkage problem somewhere associated with the foot pedal. I'm going to take a closer look this weekend. Does anyone have any ideas what this problem may be? I've got to get this fixed because if I'm holding a beer I don't have any brakes.

The seal in the master cylinder for the rear pedal is likely hard and cracked inside, and the master cylinder must be replaced as it's not rebuildable

Thanks for the reply. What you say sounds right, thats what an automobile would do with a bad master cylinder. Is there any way to check for this or is will it be obvious when I tear into it. I want to make sure thats the problem before I order the part.
