HD springs before and after

Tried to find my old thread about my springs with no success. Finally got some after pics since I installed the HD springs. Incredible difference in height, ride, and handling.

Looks real good! Someone told me that I should maybe look into new springs or at least adjusting them since one of my pictures I recently posted showed the front sagging a little. Gonna look into that. I like the even stance your quad has!!

It's well worth it. When I get around to it and have the $, I'm putting X2 springs on the back.

Looks great! I've been experiencing some front end age sag on my 2007 Sportsman 800 and was contemplating installing the Polaris factory HD springs in the front. I'm a big guy (6'4", 285 lbs) and have a 4 gal Rotopax fuel cell mounted on the front rack. Did you replace the rear springs as well? If not, did you have to change settings on the rear spring adjusters to compensate for any front end lift? How has your mod affected the ride on your machine. I've heard that it stiffens the ride considerably over the factory set up, but improves overall handling. Thanks for the feedback.

I wouldn't say that it's stiff, just less springy. Overall, it rides and handles much better. I'm pretty big myself, 6-2, 290. I've had my rear springs turned all the way up since day one, but still want to upgrade. Local dealer is about to do a rear spring upgrade for a big guy on his 800. If I remember, I'll let you know what they did and how it turned out.

PM me in a couple of weeks to remind me, and I'll find out for you.

I installed EPI HD springs up front of my 700. HUGE positive difference !!

I have the rear set at one above middle IIRC. Never thought to look at 2X springs. They must be a higher rate. I'll look into them too!

Much recomended mod!

Did the HD springs on the front of my 09 800 last week and definitely a big improvement. Did it mostly for the Tusk plow I'm toting around in the winter but took it for a ride without the plow after the install and it rides great. No dip in the turns anymore. Well worth the $60 shipped price.

It's just wal mart specials. Think I paid around $15 for them. Wired them in just like the 3hl mod, only with the power wire going straight to the battery with a fuse.
