sportsman 700 Brakes hanging up?
I just put all new brake pads in my 2002 sportsman 700. All calipers compressed, cleaned and greased slide pins. I have noticed when i give it gas to start off it feels like brakes are on just a little bit and quad is working harder...or could this be a worn drive belt?

Did you remove the master cylinder cover when you compressed the calipers?
Watch the engagement rpm to see if it is above the reccomended value. If so then check the belt.

Have you tried bleeding the brakes? Not real sure. It should be about 400-600 rpm above idle.
