sportsman 700 rear brakes dragging

I have a 2002 polaris sportsman 700 and the rear brakes are not releasing all the way. Meaning that the piston in the rear caliper is not retracting back when braking. Couldnt compress piston in caliper when doing rear pads. I cracked open the auxillary brake screw and the caliper piston went right back in when compressed. I changed the auxillary rear brake line, ran new fluid in and bleed the caliper. Still not relaxing when brakes are not used ..feels like there still on a little. Any Ideas???

Hi, I have the same problem. This is what I did. I purchased rebuilding kits for the auxillary master cyclinder and the rear brake caliper. Ebay item #'s were # 270721609831 and #270562532146 Found them on Ebay last week and has more!!. Both had really thick gumbed up deposits...Making them stick and not releasing the caliper piston.. I took them apart, and yes the master cylinder can be rebuilt. Changed all the rubber parts and cleaned with very fine steel wool and brake cleaner The master plunger and housing also the caliper piston and the the area where the caliper piston slides. Reassemble with lots of clean brake fluid on all sliding parts. Reassemble caliper and master on to bike. Bleed really good both front and back systems(2 bleeders on rear caliper) .This was easy to do. Any problems send me a reply. My brakes dont hang up anymore..Still not the best auxillary brake but working better.
