2000 Trailblazer 250 - removed and crimped brake line to rear brakes, now no front br

Polaris 250
2000

So my rear brakes were not working, and I know how to fix that. But for the time being I am in remote location and the front brakes alone will be fine to put around. So I removed the brake line from the rear caliper, bleed it and crimped it. Thinking that will still allow the front brakes to work.

But they won't work. I can't get the front lever to hold pressure. I unscrewed the brake lines from the front brakes and gave the brake handle a bunch of squeezes. Fluid is passing through. I can't figure out what am missing here. This should allow the front brakes to operate right?

Thanks for any help in advance!

I am assuming the front bleeders are broken off? Very hard to bleed calipers with no bleeders. I would either drill out the bleeders on front calipers or replace them. Yes that should work.
