Rear tires lean
I bought a 2005 Polaris sportsman 700. The rear tires lean in at the top. I bought this Atv used. I replaced all the a arm bushings and wheel bearings. It still has the same lean. Just wondering if the a arms could have been changed out and they are wrong or the hubs could be wrong. I know the guy did work on the Atv just not sure if he changed anything on the rear. Can't seem to locate the guy I bought it from now to ask him. Thanks for any help.

I agree though it sounds like the shocks are sacked out. New struts wouldn't help if the springs are fatigued.
Do you know if they rode two up on this machine, carry a sprayer or other heavy object, tow a heavy trailer recently?

I don't think so. To me it looks like either the upper a arm is too short or the bottom a arm is too long. Im not sure I have never seen this before. I have always rode yamaha.

I think somewhere on the a-arm, the part number should be stamped on it.
I don't think there is a size difference between the full size sportsmans, unless the previous owner did a hack job.
I have seen in addition to the rear being sacked by chemical sprayers and such, I have seen the front ends on sportsmans sacked out from having a plow on it for a length of time. It would make the front tires tilt in, a lot even once the plow was off

My 2005 has the same exact "toe-in" in the rear tires as you have described. Ive had the rear end gone through and can say without a doubt its just the way the machine is.. I will add though..i only see the toe-in when i ride two up. Does your machine look that way with noone sitting on it? I had a guy following me the other night stop me and tell me my wheel was falling of!! lol I guess hes never seen IRS when the wheels are riding on uneven ground! Keep in mind with IRS the wheels will seperate to give them more traction either on uneven ground or when you have extra weight towards the rear of the machine. If you have a toe-in with no weight on the machine i would say you have a problem. If your wheels look normal without two riders or excessive weight..thats normal.

After talking to several Atv shops I was told because of my 3" lift and 32" gorilla silverbacks tires. The rear tires are going to lean in some at the top. Does anyone know if there is a company that makes a longer top a arm to fix this.

Ahh the bigger tires answers the question. After my post i decided to look at mine again and realized my lower a arm bushings are sloppy. Hence my lean in when theres substantial weight on the bike. I could go with a kit and replace the whole deal but im gonna change the lowers as the uppers are tight. Part# 5438902 x 8 Part#5632291 x 4 should fix my lean. = D
Cowboy im sure with a good search engine and the right keywords you can find a shop that does custom aarms. Lift kits will obviously change the angle to your arms and i would think someone out there has custom arms to fit your needs. good luck!
