97 Explorer 500 rear brake disc

Does any one know if the disc is supposed to be loose on the splined hub. Can't find any diagrams of the assembly other than the disc and splined hub are sold as one piece 1910188. Posting this for a buddy of mine who was told that the disc is floating and the caliper is fixed. I suspect that the disc should not be loose on the hub and that he should disassemble if the disc is loose.

Rear Disc Float

pjmartin, did you determine if the rear disc on the 1997 Polaris Xplorer 500 is suppose to float or be fixed? Wondering the same thing.

IT floats because it's a single piston fixed caliper brake. With a single piston brake, either the caliper floats like on cars or in this case it's the rotor.
