Rear Brake Doesn't Work
On my '99 Trailboss, the rear foot brake doesn't work. The handlebar brakes work perfectly, but the foot one doesn't. Does it have a separate reservoir, or does it just need to be adjusted? Thanks

Is it hydraulic or cable operate brake for this model?
It sounds hydraulic, but I was thinking it was only cable for some reason.

I am not home to look at it now, but I remember seeing in the manual how to adjust it. I know the front ones are hydraulic, because they use brake fluid, but the back one I am not sure about. I really don't know a lot about brakes, how would you tell which it was?

If the rear is hydraulic, it will have it's own master cylinder and resivoir near by, and will have a rubber hose running to it.
If it's cable, it will basically have a cable running back to it, with an adjustment nut by the caliper.
I am on my phone, otherwise I would just pull up a microfiche and look myself.
Either way, both systems are easy. I'll keep checking back, or look tonight to see what system you have. Then we go from there.

The foot brake is mechanical...you loosen the jam nut on the center bolt then tighten the bolt till you have about 1" of free play. You then retighten the jam nut while holding the center bolt to prevent it from moving.
