2003 Sportsman 700 Spring/Lift question

Ok everyone I have a 03 Sportsman 700. I currently have EPI front and rear HD springs new not installed and a 2 in lift kit new not installed. I have been told that if I install both I'm gonna have axle problems. I've also read just a 2 in lift could cause issues but probably not. Is this true? If so which would you install? Springs or lift? I am a pretty big guy and am trying to get some more height and less squat. Any help, opinions, input would be appreciated! Thanks!

I been using a RDC 2" lift for 2 years now with no problems. With just the lift, the axles are on bigger angles, but I'm using my stock shocks. Also, the lift will make for a stiffer ride. So I would put the lift on first, ride it and see if you like it that way. If you don't, then try the springs.

You will eventually have problems. Greater angle causes axles to break easier. It does depend a lot on the way you ride though and your setup. If you are running 26" tires and drive on hardpack you may be fine. I would go lift first. Gives more ground clearance.
