4 wheel brakes

hi all, i just bought a 2011 sportsman 850 xp eps and have 3 brakes. i was at a show on the weekend and seen a 2011 550 with 4 brakes whats the deal?

its my understanding that some '09 models had 4 brakes but now all ATVs only have three. The RZR which uses the same components gets 4 brakes IIRC same for the big Rangers, but the ATVs only have three.

Now someone could add a fourth and retro fit say RZR pieces.. Just a guess...

You must have been looking at an international model 550 at the show. The INTL models have dual rear brakes. My understanding is that the EU requires all sorts of additional stuff that domestic models don't have because of highway use in Europe.
I have considered adding another caliper and disc to mine since it would be a simple bolt on but after thinking about it I just can't justify the cost and it seems to me that any additional stopping power would be negligible.
