2002 scrambler front suspension

is too harsh for my wife. she liked the front suspension on her old xplorer better. Just starting my research, just curious if anyone had some ideas on how to soften it up. does not look to be adjustable.

you're correct, the front isn't adjustable. have you tried softening up the rear spring for her?

yes. She could tell little difference. She doesn't push this things suspension to it's limits. She rode my father's rancher and liked how the softer front end felt, similar to her old xplorer.

I am looking into the possibility of swapping springs out of an xplorer.

ah I see. the scramblers are closer to a sport quad than the explorer, so the suspension is made to take a little more abuse. you may run into a bottoming out problem with softer springs. but if she doesn't ride too hard you should be ok though. someone on here should be able to give you spring dimensions for the explorer.

I am positive she won't bottom it out, if the dimensions are similar. I have been looking all over, have not found the length of the xplorers, yet.
