Lift/HD Springs

I have a 03 Sportsman 700. I currently have EPI HD rear springs installed. I have a set for the front but have been debating about installing the 2 in Highlifter lift kit I have and taking off the HD springs. I have also though about leaving the HD spring on and adding the lift but was told I would definatly have axle issues. I am really not wanting axle problems. Does anyone have any insight on this? I am wanting it to look meaner but not if I'm going to have major issues. Thanks. Also if it matters I have a stock clutch and 26in Swamp Lites.

You may or may not have axle issues with the lift. My buddy currently owns a 2004 700 with the highlifter lift and HD springs. He breaks the same axle every other ride. Any time you change the angle of the axles you are asking for axle problems. It does depend on your riding style as well. If you are going to be simple trail riding with small tires then you will most likely be ok with the lift. If you plan on getting into the mud or off camber situations, you will most likely break an axle. In short, I would plan on replacing your axles if you plan on lifting with the HD springs. As for the swamp lites, you will not need a clutch kit. Just make sure you know when to use low.
