You need to do as suggested and adjust the spring tension. They usually come on the lowest setting from the factory. Depending on how much weight you haul including your weight and the weight of any passenger even with only a 150 miles the springs could have sagged just a little. Not a big deal. Thats one of the reasons Polaris ride so good is the soft springs. Turn the pre load up and give that a try. Thats why they put the preload adjusters on so that it can be adjusted.

Well I called a polaris dealer and the service department told me that this sounds normal. They said that basically the suspension is breaking in since I have low hours and miles on it. Guy said it has some to do with the displacement of the wheels and the springs probably breaking in. Do you guys think this sounds right? He said it would sound normal to lift up on the back a couple inches due to the independent suspension and the displacement of the wheels. This makes sense to me. But I just want yalls opinion.

Nothing is screwed up. That is what is called suspension sag. If your suspension was fully extended all the time when you hit a bump it would top out after the bump. This is a completely normal thing to have sag. If you try to lift up on the front or the back of your car the same thing will happen. The manufacturers do this for a smoother ride. If you dont like it then you can always sgo with HD springs or you can adjust your springs with the factory adjusters like smp was saying. As far as it should spring back up and top out, no it should not.

just turn the adjusters up , jack up rear to get weight off, spray them with penetrating oil , use the spanner wrench in the tool kit or large channell locks, its easier if you take tires, wheels off

@solid_crimson, I have a 2012. I read multiple times on here that "polaris factory is too soft", and I thought everyone was full of crap.

I adjusted the preload on mine and it kind of made a difference. Not enough for what i need to do.

I have ridden my 500 once and the paint was worn off my muffler from the rear anti-roll bar.

I have ridden it one other time (with 2 people, 400 lbs on it), and they started sagging even more. I was afraid I was going to blow the shocks it was riding so low.

I ordered the high lifter front and rear springs for mine. Installed the rear this week. It lifts the back up to where it should be without a rider on it.

I will install the fronts this week, after my ride on saturday.

The high lifter rears are def the way to go. for the 2011-12, you will need a set of sprp-adapter (from highlifter). Just one set that is $18.

The springs are cheapest on amazon; I did all the research About 180 for front and rear, shipped, from J R something...

Cheers!

What the dealer said is totally true. Everything kind of settles in as you use it.That's the reason for the factory check up when you get a new machine. Shocks, valves, timing, air pressure, lube points, ect. And the guys are right about just turning the adjusters up on the rear shock. I just wish they had adjusters on the front of mine('96 xplorer 300)New springs coming!!!
