sportsman 500 HD front springs

im considering on buying some of the polaris front heavy duty front springs for plowing snow. would this help out a lot on the front suspension? and would it lift the machine at all?

Put a jack under the front and and slowly lift the front end. Watch the shocks and tires and see how high the fenders lift before the tires start to lift off the ground. If you dont lift much before the tires move then the springs probably wont lift the front. What they will do is make it stiffer so when your plowing it wont sink the front end when raise the plow.

heavy duty front springs

i have an 01 sportsman and had the same issue.i installed a set of factory polaris heavy duty front springs and it worked out nice.ride height stays the same,does not seem to ride rough and handles plow much better.

Break the law ride New Jersey-its not the machine its the rider so look out.
2001 sportsman 500 ho,winch,plow,a arm protectors,heated grips,3 light mod,over ride bi passed,4 wheel drive in reverse.

I priced some Polaris factory HD springs from the dealer and they were about $50. Better than I could find on Ebay.

04 Sportsman 700 efi black and silver, Big Gun Evo exhaust and tuner,3 light mod,reverse override,bar and thumb warmers,Moose pregressors,Black Rock wheels,Polaris(warn) winch and plow, 2 inch receiver, Filtermag.
08 Sportsman 500 efi Browning camo, Big gun Evo exhaust and tuner,3 light mod,reverse override,bar and thumb warmers,Moose pregressors,Polaris(warn) winch, Cycle Country plow, 2 inch receiver, Black rock wheels,Filtermag
00 Magnum 325 not very HO green, rolled, wrecked and rebuilt,heated grips and thumb warmer, Filtermag.
88 Yamaha Warrior 350 my first
88 Honda Foreman 350 takes care of the yard work
91 Suzuki DR 350 solves the urge to ride wheelies and catch big air
05 Kawasaki KLR 650 scratches the paved road itch
92&93 Indy 500 EFI SKSs takes care of the need to get away from home in the winter
04 Yerf Dog spiderbox buggy was supposed to be for the kids but I find I cant quit tinkering with it

Check out High Lifter heavy duty springs, there better than the polaris springs. They cost a bit more, but like anything else you get what you pay for.

2011 Sportsman XP 550 EPS

Front And Rear Rack Extensions, Rear Lock And Ride Box With Back Rest, Heated Hand Grips, winch, Fender Extensions, Front And Rear Bumpers, HID Lights, A-Arm Guards, Low Lock And Ride Windshield, Maxxis BigHorn 2.0 Tires.

I'm not sure how they HL springs are better than the popo HD springs. HL's are rated at 120lb/inch while the popo ones are 128lb/inch. With the HL's, you don't get what you pay for.
