Anyone know if there are any other stock rear shocks that would be able to replace the rear shock on a 2000 scrambler 500? i've been looking on ebay and came across the predator 500 rear shock and it looks close to the same except i would have to make a bracket for the remote.. thoughts on this?

Measure overall length and eye holes and ask the seller to give you the dimensions. THe reservoirs can be secured with hose clamps.

thanks for the response. I just purchased a Fox podium shock off of an 05 predator from ebay for 124.00 we'll have to see how this is going to work. There's a few guys on gen3usa who claim to be doing the same thing with success. thanks again for the imput.
The original shock that was on my machine measured 19.5inches eye to eye. I bought the predator shock and had to fab up some drop brackets and weld them in place to keep close to the same rear geometry. I suppose a shorter shock would work (given the proper brackets) but I wanted to stay close to the original length
