snow plow G2

I have a 2010 sportsman xp 550 touring ,We installed polaris G2 plow. The plow frame arms rub the ground and causes the blade edge to raise up a little. Any suggestions?

That is the issue with the G2. Only way to fix is to cut the tubs several inches and re weld it so its on a angle. 2nd option is to sell it on craigslist and get a Warn front mount!

did u jack up ur suspension it will help some

i took some scrap aluminum angles that i had and screwed them in to the bottom right where it angles they might not last really long but atleast the frame isnt getting worn away
also i have 28" tires so it puts me up alittle higher for more clearance
if it still wears out bad im gonna get some heavy duty springs and see what happens
have yet to plow with it but i think it should work out good

adjusting ur cut to a more aggresive angle will help to get the blade alittle lower

Thor,

Did you cut your tubes yet?
I remember you talking about doing this but I can't tell from
the pics.

Not the first I've heard of this, and it's still hard for me to believe that Polaris would make a plow system that won't work right on one of their ATV's... they don't mind taking your money for them... do they? Ridiculous!

Hope you get it "modified" DrZew

Scottdeet no I have not had the time to mess with it. I am just going to change over to the Warn front mount that we sell. I have used Warn in the past and feel the quality can not be beat. I have sold 12 sets in the last few weeks and have had nothing but positive feedback. From the welds, thickness of the metal & design I feel they are in a class of there own (not to mention the extra $50 rebate they have). :-)
