I was thinking about adding a 12 volt outlet to my 2007 Sportsman 450...so I could plug in things like an air compressor or tender. Does anyone out there do this...and where is the best place to attach it...so its out of the weather.
I actually mounted it on the left hand side of the body just above the battery...it's even lined up straight ! Now I can plug in an air pump or a cell charger when and if needed. Looks like it was always there.
omg....feel stupid. I was adjusting the windshield the other night and had the steering turned...and there it was, on the left hand side. Never saw it before but now I guess I have 2 outlets.
the factory one SHOULD be switched to the key on the AUX circuit be careful with any outlet wired direct to battery. can drain your battery when bike is off.
i installed a 2 port usb outlet in my pod'
