Hello Forum.

I am getting ready to use my ATV this coming Sunday. I checked the oil and the level is in between the low & full mark on the dipstick. I don't see any leaks and I doubt it's burning it. I guess it wasn't properly topped off when assembled. Either way I need to add oil. What oil is good for the 570? This is my 1st ATV so I am very inexperienced with this.
Thank you

In this case (still under warranty) I'd recommend Polaris (if you have a local dealer).... if not any 'good' full synthetic in the recommended viscosity flavor (5W50 I think??) would be just fine!

I myself run Mobil1 0W40 in my 2014 RZR 570.

Get yourself a quart of PS4 and top it off if you need to. If you checked it cold, it is probably fine as is. Check it warm/hot and it will probably read full.

OK. Yes. I bought the full warranty and I don't want to void it. I'm adamant about maintenance on my cars and this ATV won't be any different. Yes, I checked it cold. So it has to be warmed up and THEN I should check? I thought it would get checked while it's cold like an automobile. What is PS 4?

Definitely check it warm. All my machines read low when cold, especially my suzuki LTR450... I've had that not even register on the dipstick until it's warm, and then it's perfect. Don't know why, just my experience. I'd do that before you even crack that new bottle open...

Wow. Interesting. Well. I'm gonna start her up and while the motors warning up I'll work on installing my new tag for my trailer. Then I'll shut it down and check it BEFORE I add any oil. Thanks for the advice. From what you say I may not need it

The owners manual will answer a lot of questions you may have about maintenance on your machine.
