Coming from a former Police Officer, to be honest, all the things that have been listed above are great and really work. But if someone really really reallyyyyy wants to steal it, it doesnt matter what you do, they will get it. Just my .02$

You're absolutely right, but no need to make it easy for them.

^ You got that right, anything to slow the thief is worth it. From locking the ATV in a secure garage to simply putting a master lock in the rear disk break is worth it.... is all about how much you want to keep it.

were insured. To this day my uncle is not to happy about it.

There truly is some real scum out there. As a former Policeman(retired) I've seen it all. My Polaris is in an alarmed garage as I'm gone away from my house quite often. But I've picked up some good pointers from the people on this thread. And I will implement some of those for sure.

Yes I think alot of us get the Idea, but what is good to have a holster w/o a gun? If someone is scoping your ATV, they see that you have a holster and they want it, believe me they will get it and they might bring a gun just in case. ONCE again coming from a former Police Officer who has been in a gun fight and has been shot in the line of duty... and a Former Special Operations sgt in Iraq....trust me when you carry a gun you better be physically, mentally, and emotionally ready to use it or even take someone’s life. When you point that gun at someone a million thoughts go through your mind and trust me is not a good feeling!!!!! NO "ATV" or property is worth going to Jail or being sued. It doesnt matter if you have a CCP (Concealed Carry Permit) if you point or even fire that "44" at someone you better have a GOOD Lawyer....

Before taking my Conceal and Carry course, I did a lot of research on if it actually increased chances of getting shot and how much it really helped. The data was inconclusive, finding good points both ways. I took the course any way. However, I do not carry. What I have started to carry though is predator strength pepper spray (the stuff for bears). Actually, I feel safer with it and more at ease. Also, you have to hit a moving object with a small bullit compared to a fog of spray. And you remove the risk of going to jail for killing something or someone. Just my 2 cents.

here's an idea, grab a chunk of winch line, and string it through your quad, then go grab a electric fence charger crank up the power to maximum output, and hook up the winch line to the charger
