2005 sportsman 500 rack accessories

Just bought a 2005 sportsman 500. Great machine so far. I cant find any information on the metal channels built into the front and rear racks. they look like they would be for mounting something??? Has anyone found any uses for these?

Would like to see pics rack mount gear.

Thanks for any info.

The metal channels you speak of are to be used with bungee cords or straps to hold things on your racks.

racer371 is correct. Check out all the holes in the metal channel for the bungy hooks.
