unit will not rev out

Hello fellow mudders
I have a slight problem with my 2004 sportsman 700.It fell off the trailer going up the hi-way and it will not rev out.It starts and runs but will not rev past 2500rpm.It does have throttle control housing damage.
Does a Polaris have a electronic mechanism in that housing that will put unit to a limp mode if damaged? i see there is 5 wires plugged in to the housing for just 4wd on and off.

it does have etc-electronic throttle control, in the box above the thumb throttle is a set of points if theres too much slack in cable it will cut the power, kinda misses and bacfires, theres an adjutment about 4 inches from thumb throttle in the cable

Thanks Russ C.I am replacing the complete throttle housing. Will try then. Its just that after you drive 5 hrs to get to your atv destination and it falls off the trailer upside down we rushed to try to get it to be ridable.

After you get that fixed pick up some of these, worth the $12.99 investment to preserve the life of your quad.

Yea well just keep loading it your way, seams you have all the answers. I'd think 4 straps rated at 400lbs each would keep a quad on a trailer. And I always just use a bungee cords for my little tikes, and gas cans. Havnt lost one yet.

Reverse Limiter Condition in Forward

Right now straps least of my worries but thanks for the advice gentleman. My situation has not changed and i have gone through Polaris manual to correct this situation.
I have eliminated through testing procedures the cable adjustment, cdi, speedo gauge, reverse limiter.
Kinda funny though it says to test reverse limiter systen then at end of test it has a small box saying that the override switch has nothing to do with reverse gear output so the test for check reverse limit is null ???
Has anyone had this happen to them it like the same condition as the reverse limiter is on in forward ?
Thank Polaris Brothers
