Hauling the 4 wheeler in the bed

I have a 2006 ram 2500 diesel 4x4 long bed. I've never put the 4 wheeler in the back, I know I'll have to get ramps, I've seen them before, but what if I lift the truck? I would like to add 6" to it and go with 37" tires. The ramps that I've seen look they barely work on a 1/2 ton 2wd.

Sure this has been posted but I cannot seem to find anything.

my buddy has a 3 inch lift in his f150 platinum and I think hes gt 6 or 8 foot long ramps... its scary driving the bike in to the back of that truck...use safety chains...lol...no joke tho I was half way up and the ramp kicked out....I fell down on his gate with the front wheels still on the gate and the back wheels on the ground....no helmet on..Im lucky....needless to say were going splits on a trailer soon.....because my ranger does not like my 55o in the back at all...

Iffy situation to say the least. Ive had machines in the past i wouldnt even think twice about loading into the back of my truck. When i bought my Sportsman i picked up a trailer shortly after. think of it as an accessory! Even with a long bed thats a whole lotta machine to ramp on and off.

I don't have any issues. My Ram is a 2500 with off road package. I use the Polaris 88" ramps rated at 1500lbs.

I wouldnt go any higher than this with my ramps. You can get longer ramps.

These are the right ramps

That seems to fit just fine. Right colors working there too! Nice setup. I caught a break buying my 10' trailer from a buddy for 500 bucks so i couldnt pass on that deal. I suppose mine would fit in my F150 with the tailgate down as well, im just not sure my gate is rated for the weight it would have to hold. I cant even imagine the damage if the gate decided to give out and strapped or not the wheeler exited while driving <shudders>

How about an 800 Touring in the back of a Ranger, lol !?!?!?

I have a couple different styles of ramps, and I can say that I would not want to load that big of a bike in a lifted truck, regardless of the ramp.

08 Sportsman 800 Touring- EPI clutch turning 27" Mega Mayhems, 2500lb Polaris winch, front & rear SATV brush guards, front rack extender, 3 headlight Mod, Quadovator temp gauge, RAC Engineering reverse/ work lights, EBC brakes, Triangle ATV Stealth Snorkels, RDC radiator relocation kit, ATVtrailtunes split tube system, 12" Totron LED lightbar

08 RZR 800- SATV +6 offset long travel kit, Rhino axles, Walker Evans shocks, QSC clutch turning 27" Mud-Lite XTRs, 3500lb Polaris winch, 09 RZR-S exhaust, EMP 1/2 windshield, Air box relocation w/ custom snorkels, EBC brakes, BoeschBuilt parking brake, ATVTrailtunes speaker set, dual LightItUpOffroad LED whips, 30" Totron LED lightbar, 2x3 OPT7 cubes

05 Scrambler 500- Polaris rear rack, Bear Claw tires, EBC brakes (the wife's bike)

Grandkids- 04 Predator 50 (70cc big bore kit), 05 Eton Viper 90R, 93 Yamaha PW50, 03 Yamaha PW50, 09 Kawasaki KLX 110- They're killing me, lol)
