I have read of guys using the 0W40... I would do as the dealer suggests...

AMSOIL makes excellent oil and if you ask around you will find it available..

Rotella t6 synthetic 5W-40, you can pick it up at walmart($19 gallon) and just about any auto zone, advance auto, etc. I run it in just about everything I own, either 5w-40(850xp) or 15w-40(yfz450x & Harley) and it's still clean when I change it, and I'm not easy on my toys!

All the info I have looked up for an alternative for the Polaris oil brought me to the Amsoil 0w-40. I could not find it besides at a local dealer and wasnt going to pay thier prices, So i found that the Mobil 1 0w-40 pure synthetic was the best alternative at a cost of about 8 bucks a quart its not too bad. you can pick it up at your local Auto Zone, Checker, or NAPA.
