Depends what context "limited edition" is use in....Overall production numbers or if you "see any" in your area...ATVing is a back woods hobby I don't see very many people when I am in the woods/trails riding..With that being said I have not seen 1 Polaris 550 camo in the woods/trails...However my friend and I ran into a guy that had an 2011 850XP orange madness and that is the bike my friend has and they are the "limited edition" model...I know the Polaris dealer south of me said that Orange madness was the best selling color when I was shopping for my 550
I personally think it should be based on production numbers.."limited edition" anything will interest people and make them want it because in a sense it means your "special", You have something that no one else does or very few....is that the case or is it just really good marketing???
Limited edition anything should come with a number from the factory to verify its number sequence off the line and you can forever say I own a limited edition number "34" or number "6" or whatever.
another buddy of mine has a "limited edition" dodge charger and it has a production number from the factory and it came with a plack from dodge with his name and the number of the car and his picture with the higher ups at Dodge..That car is truly a limited edition.
