do i need a clutch kit?
Okay, so i have the new 2o11 Polaris xp eps pearl white 55o... just added 29.5 outlaw 2's to em, it looks amazing.... everything else is stock... i do not go mudding all the time, but when i do, it can get pretty thick... now i dont much about atv's, but i hear people saying i might need a clutch kit... do i need a clutch kit? whats it do for me, and how do i use it?

I would say yes you do. It cuts down on belt slippage and gets your low end back. I just ordered mine from QSC. Don't have it yet but waiting on it.

does anyone know if clutch kits void a warrenty? what is normal cost for dealer to install a kit?

Not sure if it voids the warranty, but I'd bet yes it would. Really they aren't that difficult to do yourself. I'd do it myself before paying the dealer.

I would contact the clutch manufacturers that you are interested in. They will help you with your decision as to if you will need a kit and recommend a kit for your needs and riding style.

You do not necessarily need one. I would recommend that you get one, but as long as you use low gear when pushing/pulling or when going through mud, you will be fine. I have run 29.5's on all my machines without a clutch kit.
